Interaction With Children

I LOVE my son! He is simply wonderful! I read to him every day! I play with him constantly when I am home with him! We do everything together. Every night before his bed time we dance to some songs from One Republic and the Rascal Flatts! He loves to dance with his mom and dad! I do not think that you can have too much interaction with children no matter how young or old they are! My son, Dexter, is 9 1/2 months old and we do everything with him and because we encourage so many activities for him he is, according to his doctor, is smarter than the average 14 month old baby! He is so curoius about everything and has to know what everything feels like! I like to think that because of all the interaction that we encourage to have is what makes him so smart!

This is for all the bosses out there. I just started a new job today! My new boss left on a business meeting while I started doing some paper work, just like I figure it will be every day, but when she came back she had a rose and a $50 gas gift card in her hand for me thanking me for all of my future help! To all the bosses, this is how you make a new staff feel welcome! She knew that my car had horrible gas milage and was very thoughtful and bought me something that was just so sweet! It made me feel like I belong!

Cheap Milk

Milk is not that cheap and families can go through it pretty fast. CVS pharmacies always have a great deal on milk where you can get it for $2.18 a gallon. If you like the bags of milk, Kwik Trip is the place to go getting a gallon for a little more than CVS but less than a gallon jug of milk at Kwik Trip. If you have a family like mine where you go through milk incredibly fast then CVS or Kwik Trip are the places to go to purchase your milk!

Walking with a Pug

I take my son and my dog for a walk every time I get a chance. I love taking walks so much. We always stop at a park along the way and go down the slides and swing for a while. On the way home our pug is too tired to walk so he rides in the bottom of the stroller, right below my son. It is the cutest thing to see. Everyone who looks over while driving has to laugh if they notice my over weight pug riding in the bottom of the stroller with his tongue hanging out!

Weddings

I recently went to a wedding. It was a beautiful small wedding. It was both the bride and grooms 3rd wedding so they did not want any gifts or money. They just wanted their family and friends to come and celebrate with them. It was so amazing, it was outside and freezing but simply beautiful. Dancing is the best part of weddings if you ask me. I did not leave the dance floor even when they were passing out the cake. So I did not even get to try the cake. But everything else was amazing so I am going to just assume that the cake was delicious too. I would love to attend a lot more weddings if they were all like the one I went to last weekend!

Sesame Street

I love Sesame Street. It is a nice whole some, innocent TV show. My son loves it. It helps him learn things like shapes, colors, numbers, and other things like problem solving and sharing. It is brighly colored and full of loud but not scary sounds so it is something children enjoy.  It keeps children occupied and gives mommy and daddy a chance to sit down and relax or a chance to get something done.

DVRs

I love DVRs. They save my life some days. On days when I am really busy at home or I am sick, I just turn on my DVR and pick out one of the many PBS shows that I have recorded on our DVR and let my son watch TV while I either get a bunch of things done or just rest on the couch and watch Sesame Street or Curious George with him. A different reason that I love my DVR is because sometimes I am not home to watch my shows and I really can’t miss them so I just schedule a recording and I can watch them anytime I want to! It is a wonderful thing to have!

Fall Cookies

I bought some fall cookie cutters. It came in a pack of 6. There is an owl, a maple leaf, an oak leaf, a rooster, an acorn, and a pumpkin. I just took simple sugar cookie recipe and after making the dough I split the dough into 5 different bowls and then I take different food coloring dyes. I dyed each bowl of cookie dough a different color like yellow, red, orange, brown, and green. Then I used the cookie cutters and cut out all different cookies in different colors then I took a different color of sprinkles for each color of cookie and put it on the cookie cut outs before I baked them. Always take them out before the recommended time and they will be very soft and chewy instead of crunchy!

Grilling

I am not very good at grilling, but I loved grilled food. I do happen to have a husband that loves to grill and he is simply amazing at it! His step father thinks that he is the best griller in the world and he is fine, but he is nothing compared to my hunny. We just had a bonfire and grilling party at our house with some family including his step father. It was at our house because I wanted my husband to be the one manning the grill. I was not paying too much attention to the grill because I was busy occupying the women and my 9 month old son. I instantly knew that something went wrong when I just looked all of the chicken. This was not my husband’s grilling. It was over cooked, not burnt, just dry and over cooked!

Summer is gone and we are now experiencing cold windy weather. Some odd people like cold weather, but most of us enjoy our summers and springs. But there is no use trying to fight it because we can never win. So bring out your sweatshirts and hoodies. Break out your cute winter boots and get ready because Fall is here!
