Today’s bit of Friday fun mystifies even me. This is a trailer for a “movie” and I’m not sure if this is a legitimate movie or someone is having fun with the trailer option in their movie making machine. A hybrid shark/octopus that can travel on land as well as swim? I don’t think there’s a hook big enough for me to hang that much disbelief.

This is a great lesson in not only classical music but also popular music. I went to college to study music so I know about Pachelbel, Mozart, Mahler and other more obscure composers of the past. This is a great bit of musical comedy from stand-up Rob Paravonian.

I don’t know if there are any more Benny Hill fans out there, but he was a modern day charlie Chaplin with his show. He would do silent movies with the film sped up to resemble the old comedy shorts of the early days. Some people gave him flak for objectifying women, but usually Hill’s character was justly punished for his sexist acts.

I so wish I could dance like this. This kid at less than 3 years old has better moves than I had when I was over 30 years old. All I have to say is, “keep dancing, kid!”

If you’re a Simpsons fan you’ve probably already watched this, but it’s good to see it again. James Lipton had the main cast of the Simpsons on his show to give the audience a chance to see the real faces behind the voices. Everyone on this stage is an accomplished artist in their own right, but together on the Simpsons, they have produced show after show for 20 years, and it doesn’t look as if they plan on stopping anytime soon. To prove that Librarians can be just as hip as the rest of us, this group put together a video to the music of Lady Gaga’s song “Poker Face.” This is not a mere Manilli Vanilli, they actually put together lyrics that actually focus on the library itself. This comes from MSN’s new comedy page.

I’m a fan of Star Wars so this is not being posted out of anything but fun and lave for the story and franchise. Of course, if the first movie in 1977 had ended this way, it would have made for a very short film franchise.

Today’s bit of Friday fun comes from a particular artist who creates alternate endings to popular movies with animation. They are very entertaining. And with my wife being a huge fan of these books and the movies, I find this to be a little more humorous than most outings. I mean, they’re all funny, but this one gets extra kudos since my wife bristles when she hears it.

Well, for a change of pace from the normal Friday YouTube fun, I decided to create another quick mad-lib from a weird news story. The true story is that a bus driver started to take kids on a field trip to an amusement park when they were supposed to be going to school.

Officials say a mix-up led a ____________ (vehicle) driver in ______________ (location) to start to take students to an ______________ (vacation spot) instead of school.

About 30 Ridgefield Park High School students boarded thinking it was same ride as every day. But the driver had shown up early to take _______________ (group of people) to Six Flags at 9 a.m.

The students became worried when they reached the _______________ (location) and called _____________(celebrity) and ___________ (government agency) when the driver wouldn’t stop.

The driver eventually listened to them and turned around.
