I admit that I am a huge movie fan! Everything from comedy to drama to romance usually finds it’s way on my TV screen. I have a large selection of DVDs in my house that I like to watch over and over again. Sometimes, when I want to change things up or watch something new, I turn to Netflix.
They have a great selection of movies and TV shows to watch instantly for just $8 a month. It connects with your internet to allow online streaming. I have found everything on there from movies made in the 90’s that I haven’t seen in years (“Grumpy Old Men”) to newer releases that came out a few months ago (“Take Me Home Tonight”).
There is also an option through the Netflix service that allows you to choose movies you want mailed to you (new releases that aren’t found on their online streaming). There’s no late fees or due dates back for the movies, which is great!
There is a TV series called Parenthood. It started in 2010 but I just discovered it on Netflix. It is an amazing show that teaches you all about being a parent! I fell in love with this show. It address everything that might happen while being a parent. It teaches you how to deal with all different problems that you might come accross with your children. It also address how to deal with all of the stress that comes with being a parent. It also teaches you how to keep the connection with your spouse or how to reconnect with them. It is a huge family show. It helped me to realize that it is very important to keep in touch with your family because you never know when you are going to need them. It is heartwarming and beautiful in so many different ways. I strongly suggest that all parents watch this TV show! In fact I think that eveyone should watch this show!
There is a new TV series that just started last Wednesday called Revenge. It is an amazing show and there has only been one episode so far and I am already hooked. My husband even watched it with me last week. He told me that he really likes it but to NEVER tell ANYONE! Ha ha oops! It is about a young woman who sets out to take revenge on people from The Hamptons becaue she believes that they framed her father when she was 6 years old for a terrible crime. It plays at 9 pm on Wednesdays on ABC. Not ABC family but just ABC! So check it out. It will be worth it!
Now for babies and small children, PBS Kids and Nick Jr are awesome channels with shows like The Cat in the Hat, Word World, Curious George, Martha Speaks, and last but not least Sesame Street! These are all wonderful TV shows for your child! They all help children learn about colors, counting, shapes, spelling, and sharing! Even children under 6 months will enjoy these shows because of all of the bright colors and enviting soft voices!
For Teenagers there is MTV with the shows 16 and Pregnant, Jersey Shore, The Real World, Bad Girls, and Parental Countrol! VH1 has a lot of shows that play all sorts of music! If the boy or girl is into Country there is the CMT Channel where they play country music! If you are in your teen years or even older and enjoy reality shows or music, these shows make wonderful suggestions!
